Features and Benefits

ChangeAuditor for Exchange

  • Audit and report on all critical changes: Tracks user and administrator activity with detailed information including who, what, when, where and why for change events plus original and current values for all changes.
  • Non-owner Mailbox Access Auditing: Provides a detailed view of any changes made to mailboxes that have been accessed by a non-owner, which enhances security and compliance.
  • Real Time and “Smart” Alerts: Immediately sends an alert when critical items are changed or when patterns of changes occur enabling administrators to respond without delay.
  • Server Configuration Change Auditing: Tracks changes to Exchange Server configuration parameters such as policy changes, (message size, mailbox size) which protects against system performance issues and unwanted security gaps.
  • Public Folders Support: Tracks changes made to Exchange Public Folders including creates, deletes, renames and permission changes which speeds troubleshooting and ensures compliance.
  • Anti-Tamper Controls: Controls who can start and stop the ChangeAuditor agents preventing unauthorized manipulation so a rouge user cannot by-pass auditing policies.
  • Configurable Auditing: Provides the ability to enable or disable events from being generated so administrators can exclude high traffic or “safe” accounts from being audited if desired which keeps the audit database from becoming overloaded with unnecessary event information.
  • Does Not Require Native Auditing: Captures change information without the need for native audit logs resulting in significant savings of storage resources.
  • Reporting: Built-in reports and a comprehensive compliance reporting library provides administrators the flexibility and power to quickly generate predetermined or custom reports.
  • Management Pack for Microsoft Systems Center Operations Manager (SCOM): Sends user defined events to the Operations Manager database ensuring that important configuration changes are raised in the Systems Center Operator Console, with all the details behind each change.
