Welcome

Quest Reporter and Quest Configuration Baselining Report Packs provide a number of predefined reports that help users to analyze data collected by Quest Reporter. Users can view and manage these reports using Quest Knowledge Portal which enables them to:

Known Issues

The following is a list of issues known to exist at the time of Quest Reporter and Quest Configuration Baselining Report Packs 1.2 release.

All Reports If a report that contains a cover page is exported to Excel, the headers and descriptions are not displayed in the exported report. TFS 49657

When upgrading Quest Report Packs, the application saves the old reports in a directory called 'Old0'.  This is counterinuitive and should be changed to a directory name that is more evident.TFS 90376
The QKP uninstaller does not remove any reports.TFS 60587
Reporter Reports When viewing the Japanese reports, the backslash is used as the separator in directory paths in the document map, not the expected yen symbol. TFS 51113
When choosing Integrated Security, the application adds the userid to the Connection String even if then option has been disabled.  This will cause the reports to fail with a security error.TFS 90359
Configuration Baselining Reports In some reports, when the field order is modified via the "Customize Report View" option, the column heading will be reordered accordingly but the data may stay in the original order.TFS 50672
Deselecting the "Apply filters from this tab" checkbox will still apply any filters from the following mandatory filters:
  • Show filters in the report
  • Select Configuration status
  • Select Configuration check
  • Select Runs

System Requirements

Before installing Quest Reporter and Quest Configuration Baselining Report Packs 1.2, ensure your system meets the following minimum hardware and software requirements:

Server:

Platform Intel 32 or 64-bit processors
Memory Minimum 512MB (1 GB recommended)
Hard Disk Space Minimum 40MB for Report Packs (20 MB for each Report Pack)
Operating System Microsoft Windows 2000 Server (Service Pack 4)

Global Operations

This section contains information about installing and operating these products in non-English configurations, such as those needed by customers outside of North America. This section does not replace the materials about supported platforms and configurations found elsewhere in the product documentation.

 

This release supports any single-byte or multi-byte character set. In this release, all product components should be configured to use the same or compatible character encodings and should be installed to use the same locale and regional options. This release is targeted to support operations in the following regions: North America, Western Europe, Latin America, and Japan.
